Last week we explored what items you’d like to dedicate time towards, and when you’re going to find time to do them. A week later, what are you noticing about the daily steps you are getting into? An important part of daily action is noticing the focus of these items. What are the things you are focusing on? What is important to be saying “yes” to and “no” to? It can be useful to link the focused action to your WHY. The purpose of why you are doing this. Without connection to the WHY it may be very easy to lose motivation around daily steps. Reconnecting with your VISION and/or INTENTIONS can be a significant motivator. If you haven’t looked at your vision since the start of the year, now’s the time to pick it up. Another part of the FOCUS and DOING equation is noticing WHEN action is best placed? Are you wanting to get this done first thing in the day? Would it be useful to get it done later in the day? When are you earmarking time? Are the components chunked enough? This last year one of the Weekly Planning Hacks was about chunking things down into smaller pieces. When things are too big, it may be difficult to get things accomplished. What are the chunks you want to focus in on? Focused action is an important part of the DOING and creating momentum. What is the focus you are undertaking right now? What could you do to amplify that? DOING is another piece of the puzzle and a couple of weeks into the month, it’s pretty easy to start losing momentum and having other things get in the way of things that are important. What can you be doing to perhaps:

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020. What are you looking forward to creating this year? This decade? It’s a super-special day almost like the moments after a snowstorm where the ground is white and untouched. What do you want to create as you move forward this year, over the next 10 years? If you still haven’t been able to focus on your vision, take a look at this video I did earlier this fall. If you have a vision – pull it out and look at it. Is there a way you can create a one-pager to anchor your vision for the year? Make it visible? Today’s the day we get started with the 60 Day Coaching Business Builder Accelerator. Imagine if today was day 1 of taking 60 days of consecutive action on your business. I hope you will. It’s not too late to join us – Click on over and learn more about the 60 Day Accelerator. Our first live call happens on Monday January 6th at 8 am EST (your choice of two weekly times!). I’ll be logging into my zoom room later today to do a quick welcome message as well. And some intention setting. Can't make this week's call? There may be another group starting in a few weeks as well. What is it that you want to create in your work this year? This decade? I hope that you will find a few minutes today to find some time to capture your ideas. With best wishes, Jennifer Jennifer Britton - GroupCoachingEssentials | Potentials Realized

Email: [email protected] Earlier this week I held my annual year-end planning hack, a 45-minute series of reflective prompts to quickly zoom into your vision for next year. While a 45-minute working session may not be the full amount of time you may dedicate to vision work, it often is enough to create a high-level overview, from which annual, quarterly and monthly plans can flow. If you have a copy of either of my workbook planners, Coaching Business Builder, or PlanDoTrack, check out the Vision Questions which are found in both Sections 2 and 5. (Note there’s lots of repetition between the different sections to help you keep unlayering your vision and insights). Several years ago, I also recorded a short 15-minute annual vision audio as part of the Inner Biz Leader Virtual Business Planning Retreat. Even though it is a few years old now, I wanted to share it with you here. Please grab a pen and listen in...noting what you want to create in your work 3-5 years from now. It will take you 10-15 minutes to listen to. Grab a pen and listen in here: Want something shorter? Check out this 2 minute vision video here at my YouTube channel.
